Return and Refund Policy

ONLINE RETURN 

You may return fine jewelry merchandise purchased from Legacy Jewelry. DBA Legacyjewelrygallery.com within 30 days of when the order was placed. Watches must be in absolute original condition (unworn/Sized) may be returned within 30 days of when the order was placed. Returned merchandise must be accompanied by the packing slip/receipt and the certificate when applicable (replacement fee for the certificate is $200.00). Please Note: Shipping charges are non-refundable.

REFUNDS

Refunds will be credited back to the tender used at the time of purchase (credit card or PayPal Credit account used for the purchase). Please note: an in-store purchase cannot be returned to the on-line store. Time may vary based on cardholder's bank.

IN-STORE REFUNDS/EXCHANGE POLICY

If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, we will gladly accept your jewelry* return up to 30 days from date of purchase. At store locations only, exchanges may be made up to 30 days from date of purchase. *Returns or exchanges of custom designed jewelry, class rings, family jewelry, special orders, piercing earrings and items that have been engraved are not accepted. No returns on consignment items, clearance items, rough or tumbled stones (Minerals) or jewelry in our Meta section (Costume Jewelry).

  •  Watch Returns - Watches may be returned within 30 days from date of purchase only if they have not been worn and have not been sized. Watch warranties vary by manufacturer and are covered in the manufacturer’s warranty book that was provided at time of purchase.

  • Gift Returns - Gift items may be exchanged for gift card or jewelry item of equal or greater value. 

  • Trade-ins - Your new jewelry item may be returned within thirty (30) days of purchase with sales receipt. If trade item is returned within 30 days, you will receive your original trade-in item and a refund of the amount paid in difference. 

  • Refunds - Cash refunds are issued to original purchaser with original sales receipt. Legacy is not responsible to print a duplicate receipt. Items purchased by check require a 21-day hold from date of purchase. Cash and checks over $100 are issued by check from Legacy within 30 days. Returns of merchandise purchased with a debit or credit card will be processed as a credit to the account* on which the original purchase was made. *This will include closed accounts. A 2.6% fee will be assessed on card transactions.

PAYPAL CREDIT RETURN POLICY

All Legacyjewelrygallery.com purchases made with a PayPal Credit account must be returned to the on-line store within 30 days of when the order was placed. Watches in absolute original condition (unworn/Not sized) may be returned within 30 days of when the order was placed. Merchandise must be accompanied by the packing slip and the certificate when applicable (replacement fee for the certificate is $200.00). 

UNMOUNTED DIAMOND RETURN POLICY 

Unmounted Diamonds purchased online must be returned to the online store within 30 days of when the order was placed. The Unmounted Diamond must be accompanied by the packing slip and the certificate when applicable (replacement fee for the certificate is $200.00). 

DIAMOND TRADE-IN PROGRAM 

The following pieces qualify for Trade In toward the purchase price of a new diamond jewelry item that is at least double the price you paid for your original purchase: 

  • All diamond solitaire rings, solitaire pendants and stud/solitaire earrings 

  • Diamond engagement rings  

  • Diamond bridal sets of two or three rings 

  • Unmounted Diamonds 

  • Diamond mountings 

  • Ladies diamond anniversary bands 

  • Ring wraps and guards 

  • Men's diamond and gold or platinum bands 

  • Diamond and gold or platinum tennis bracelets 

The following are not eligible for Trade In: Precious and semi-precious gemstone jewelry (with or without diamonds), merchandise from competitors, right hand rings, multi stone diamond fashion jewelry, and clearance jewelry items. To be eligible for the Trade In privilege, Jewelry Gem Bond and original sales receipt must be presented as confirmation of eligibility. You may only trade in one jewelry item for one jewelry item***. ***Diamond bridal sets of two or three may be traded for a single diamond engagement ring that is at least double the price you paid for your total original purchase.  

Wire Wrapped Jewelry

In addition to the information provided in the Tumbled Stone section please note that these items are hand-made and may consist of sharp edges. Please use caution when handling as well as use care when putting on or taking off clothing.

Colored Stones

Unless otherwise stated, all colored stones are assumed to be subjected to a stable and possibly undetected color enhancement process.

If treated or assumed treated, the kind of treatment possible is:

Bleaching  

Cavity filling  

Colorless impregnation 

Dyeing 

Fracture filling 

Heat 

Irradiation

Lattice diffusion

Quench-crackling and dyeing 

Sugar or smoke treatment 

Surface modification


The treatment of these items creates the following special care needs:

Avoid contact with abrasives, which can wear away surface modifiers and some lattice diffusion created colors. 

Avoid contact with chemicals, which can damage surface modifiers, dyes, impregnations, sugar or smoke treated opals, fracture fillings, and remove or discolor oils.

Take care in cleaning, which can damage many treatments.

Check safety of steam and ultrasonic cleaners for all colored stones. 

Beware of heat, which can be very damaging to treatments.

Beware of prolonged exposure to light, which can bleach some irradiated colors and dyes.

Take care in repolishing or recutting, which can remove surface modifiers, some lattice diffusion created colors, fracture or cavity fillings, shallow layers of irradiated color, oils, impregnations, and treated layer on opal.  

Disclosures

Specimens/Rough

Items such as rough specimens, wands, crystal points, will have sharp edges and can sliver off. It is best to handle any mineral with caution or risk of it breaking or cutting you.

If you purchase one of our "Break your own geodes" make sure to wear a protective eye covering (Goggles) and exercise typical safety precautions when using tools or equipment

2. Wrap crystal in a cloth to contain pieces, unless using a pipe cutter, open 1 at a time

3. Start with light pressure and increase the force until you hear the crystal crack (The amount of force will vary based on what is inside).

4. Use a rock chisel, hammer, or pipe cutter to crack it open 

     a. YouTube has useful videos on using a pipe cutter

     b. We personally prefer a hammer 

Tumbled Stones

All items shown online by Legacy Jewelry LLC are for illustration purposes only, actual items sent will be similar, but not identical; items mirror the color, size, and finish shown in displayed images. Most items are natural and have been tumbled, so please expect some variance from item to item.

Do not consume or "taste" the materials sent, items may be small and present choking hazards this includes packaging. Keep away from small children and pets. 

Some materials contain sharp edges and should be handled with care, other items should not be stored together and require handwashing after touching. Please research the items purchased along with your collection for storage and proper handling.

Amber Necklace

 · Always supervise your child when they are wearing the necklace or bracelet (Jewelry).

· Remove the jewelry when your child is unattended, even if it’s for a second.

· Remove the jewelry while your child is sleeping day or night.

· This product is not designed for chewing; it simply works by touching the skin.

· Product may be worn around the ankle which makes it harder for them to grasp.

· Please seek medical advice if you have any concerns about your child’s health.

These products come highly recommended, based on the great relief it provides to children teething, but with any product 

that we allow near our children caution should be taken.

Piercing Earrings

In addition to the release and authorization provided at the earring consultation please note that most Piercing earrings post are pointed and sharp in order to assist in a smooth piercing process. These points can be sharp to the touch. Please use caution when handling, take extra care when removing clothing over the head, and brushing hair, so that the earrings do not get caught.

Pain, redness, and/or swelling are not normal reactions to an ear piercing and are generally uncommon. Please consult a physician IMMEDIATELY.

Kids Toys

Products found in out Dig kits and Treasure chest contain small pieces (Plastic gems) that may present a choking hazard. Please do not leave children unattended or allow children under the age of 6 years old to handle these products.
